Tania Mallet passes away aged 77

It took a bikini photo in the hands of producer Albert R. Broccoli to land her a film role in one of the most beloved James Bond films of all time. Sharing the screen with Sean Connery, Tania Mallets portrayal of Tilly Masterson was the sacrificial lamb of the film. Her death on screen at the hands of henchman Oddjob was sudden and brutal.

Mallet, who did not make another big screen appearance in her life, was well loved by fans for her open and kind character. Wherever she appeared, her enthusiasm for the fans was remarkable.

Tania Mallet passed away in Margate, Kent, on 30 March 2019.
