It certainly isn´t an unusual sight to see expensive luxury cars on the streets of Paris, France, but this Sunday was a bit different. Almost 20 exclusive vehicles hit the most prominent roads of the French capital and they have all been featured in James Bond films – from the Sunbeam Alpine originally driven by Sean Connery in the very first Bond film ‘DR. NO’ (1962) to the newest MI6 company car, the Aston Martin DB10 of ‘SPECTRE’. An impressive James Bond Car Parade!
Ahead of the upcoming release of the new Bond film ‘SPECTRE’, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and SONY Pictures Paris had arranged the amazing convoy that amazed passers-by starting at the famous Arc de Triumphe at 11.30am and continuing down the Champs Elysees. No less than three models of the legendary Aston Martin DB5, the car that had made it’s first on-screen appearance in ‘GOLDFINGER’ (1964), were spearheading the shiny parade of automotive excellence together with the new DB10 of which only 10 models were produced exclusively for the new Bond film. Behind them were an Aston Martin DBS V12 from ‘CASINO ROYALE’, a V8 Vantage Volante as seen in ‘THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS’, a DBS from ‘ON HER MAJESTY´S SECRET SRVICE’, a Ford Mustang from ‘THUNDERBALL’, a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud from ‘A VIEW TO A KILL’ as well as a Citroen 2CV from ‘FOR YOUR EYES ONLY’.
The grand finale took place on Place de l’Etoile and French Bond Fan Jessy Conjat was on location taking some impressive photos of the James Bond Car Parade. He kindly shared them with The Bond Bulletin and you can see them in the gallery below.
