Back in 2012 it was a definite sensation for fans when “Designing 007: Fifty years of Bond style” first opened its doors in Londons Barbican Centre. Since then, the exhibition and its over 500 exhibits has made tour stops in Toronto, Shanghai, Melbourne, Moscow, Rotterdam, Mexico City, Madrid and Paris.
On 14 November, the exhibition will make its Middle East debut in Dubai. The location housing the massive collection of items from over 50 years of James Bond history is the Burj Khalifa – with 829.8 meters the tallest structure in the world!
Staying until 13 February 2017, the exhibition will be located in the ANNEX on floor 11 which offers over 2.500 square meters of event space. Guest-curated by fashion historian Bronwyn Cosgrave and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming, the exhibition will take visitors through the incredible story of the Bond films, highlighting the set design, fashion and music. Among the famous exhibits is Scaramangas Golden Gun, the Aston Martin DB 10 from the latest film “Spectre” as well as an array of gadgets, production designs, models and costumes ranging from the 1960s to the present day. A treasure trove for every Bond fan!
In addition to the main exhibition, the Dubai Mall and The Dubai Fountain will also see Bond props on display and have immersive activities for all to enjoy.
