French economics and business magazine CAPITAL has published a special James Bond edition as their October/November issue. In a number of well-researched articles, the magazine delves into the rich history of the James Bond universe and explores the reasons why Bond is so successful and the factors that have played a part in it.
In my capacity as Editor-in-Chief of The Bond Bulletin, I was kindly offered the chance to assist journalist Eric Wattez in his research about the success factors of James Bond music. During a very enjoyable telephone conversation in July, Wattez and I discussed the highs and lows of Bond music during the past 53 years and why the title songs and soundtracks are so important for the success of the individual films. James Bond music expert Jon Burlingame also greatly contributed to the article that you will find on pages 28-30.
The special issue of CAPITAL is available at newsstands in France since October 02.
CAPITAL was first introduced in 1991 and is now published monthly by the Prisma Press group. Its primary target audience are senior executives and decision-makers in the fields of industry, finance and politics. The magazine had a circulation of about 338,062 copies in the period of 2009-2010.
